Red-winged Blackbird - male
The Red-winged Blackbird watches the Swans from the reeds beside the landing area. These birds help to keep the Swans safe as they will make a lot of noise and try to distract predators that enter their nesting areas.

Canada Geese
Canada Geese enjoying the sun while resting on a large piece of driftwood that is stuck near the shore past the landing.

Green Teal duck - male
First Green Teal I've seen on the lake. The duck was far out in the lake making it difficult to get a shot.

Thanks to Bev S. for forwarding the picture to friends who identified it.
