Canada Geese
The Canada Goose population of our lake has been increasing lately as they congregate here in preparation for their summer molting.
During the molting period they will not be able to fly for 4 weeks or more and so they need to prepare by finding a safe body of water with lots of food in and around it.

Mute Swan - Cygnets
The 3 cygnets feeding at the special Cygnet feed tray in the Swan feeding station.

Mallard Ducks
7 male Mallards waiting for the Swans to leave the feeder so that they can get any food that is left.
Mute Swan's only eat as much as they need so it is a safe bet that some food will be left in the feeding station

Blackbird - female
It was a beautiful day for a walk in the park despite the weather forcast. This female, probably a grackle female, was walking along the path near the feeding station.

Canada Goose
This family also felt it was a beautiful day for a walk in the park.
