A beautiful day for a walk in the park.

Friday January 24, 2014.

Swan Lake Village area,
Markham, Ontario

What to do on an extremely cold day when the lake is frozen over and the park path's are covered in snow? Well there is a tropical paradise only 25 minutes from Swan Lake Village. The Pavilions of the Toronto Zoo!!! In particular the "African Rainforest Pavilion" and the "Indo-MalayaPavilion". It may be cold outside but these pavilions are very warm and humid in order to duplicate the natural environment of the residents.

Beautiful pattern on the shell. Two of these Tortoises are resting under a sunlamp to soak in the warmth.

Sacred Ibis
One of the Ibis spread it's wings for a few seconds and each of the other Ibis in the area stretched their wings in turn.
