Caspian Tern
Two Caspian Tern's are hunting for fish in Swan Lake. With wings and tail feathers spread wide this Caspian Tern slows down as it thinks it sees a fish below the water.

The Caspian Tern flying in a large circle around the lake looking for signs of fish below the surface.

Slider Turtle
I saw these Slider Turtles sunbathing on a log in Turtle inlet. The picture was taken from the bridge over the inlet at the northwest corner of the lake.

Mute Swan
These pictures were taken in the late afternoon of Romeo in the East Pond.

Great Blue Heron
You can see how effective the Great Blue Heron's camouflage is as this one hunts frogs and fish in the East Pond.

The Great Blue Heron became nervous as I moved closer to get a better picture. It is flying out of the East Pond to fly over the path and back into Swan Lake.

Caspian Tern
The Caspian Tern flying out of the water after an unsuccessful dive for a fish.

Here the Caspian Tern has sighted something under the water and hovers for a few seconds to decide if it is worth diving for.

Having decided that it was seeing a fish under the water, the Caspian Tern dives straight down from about 40 feet above the lake.
