Swan Lake Park - June 3rd

 
 
Great Blue Heron
Two Great Blue Herons have been visiting Swan Lake Park daily.
Unfortunately I have not been able to get a good picture of them yet.
 


 
 
Eastern Cotton Tail
Walking past the landing we noticed a cute rabbit on the other side of the fence inside Swan Lake Village. He hid in the garden but I was able to get this picture. Note how the sun lit up it's ears as he turned them to listen for me behind him.

Slider Turtle
This is a very large slider turtle that was sitting on a rock out in the middle of the lake. The picture was taken from the bridge at Turtle Inlet.

Mute Swan
Martin Douglas took this shot of the 6 eggs in Romeo and Juliet's nest.

Mallard Duck
These baby ducks were swimming into the Swan Feeding Station. The mother and 6 ducklings had absolutely no fear when it came to eating Romeo's food even when he was there.

Mute Swan
Romeo was in fine form as he chased, Canada Geese and two Trumpeter Swans that visited the lake.
 


 
 
Romeo forces the Trumpeter Swan and a Canada Goose into flight.
