A few shots from the last few days of July and a few not so great shots of a Caspian Tern diving for a fish. |

Mute Swan |
Romeo and Juliet with the 6 Cygnets relaxing at the Landing. The Cygnets have grown so much and their adult plumage is showing more. |
Chipmunk |
While walking around the lake we came across this cute little fellow who seemed quite curious about us. |
Caspian Tern |
The Caspian Tern has just acquired a fix on a fish beneath the waters of Swan Lake and prepares to dive for it. |
The dive has to be quick and accurate and this shot is a a split second before he hits the water. |
The Tern fighting with the fish re-emerges from the water. |
The Caspian Tern flies off with its catch which if you look closely appears to be a large gold and white fish. I've seen a few of these in the lake and they are quite beautiful and from the Tern's point of view quite tasty. |

Mute Swan |
For a few days in July and August the Swans were wandering off to the playground in the NW corner of the park. Here we see a volunteer helping to guide the Swans back to the lake where a delicious dinner awaits them. |
Mallard Duck |
I thought you might enjoy this picture as this was cut from the next picture where you can see the little fellow in the background with it's mother trying to be first in line to eat after the Swan's are finished. |
Mute Swan |
15 minutes after the I took the picture of the Swans being guided back to the Lake and here all the Cygnets enjoy a big dinner while the parents watch over them. |
