A beautiful day for a walk in the park.

Swan Lake Park

Spotted Sandpiper
A poor quality shot but good enough to identify the Spotted Sandpiper in the foreground.
First one I've seen on the lake this year.
The Cygnet in the background hilites just how small this bird is.

For a much better picture of a spotted Sandpiper see my July 4th, email.

Mute Swan
Romeo, Juliet and the Cygnets resting on the beach at the landing.

Osprey
The Osprey is a very large hawk which feeds primarily on live fish that it catches with it's talons.

If you are lucky you may see one of these large hawks hover over the lake and dive to catch a large fish.

This one was circling over the lake near the Swan Club.
