This picture clearly shows the identifying ring around the bill.

Landing just short of the ice in the middle of the lake.

The female lowering her head and her mate sticking out his tongue at her, displays typical mating rituals that the geese follow.

This pair were walking across the lake on the ice.
Ring-billed Gull
This one was flying by the pier. The bright sun and clear cool air made for a nice shot showing the detail of the feathers on the wing.

Although it may look like this gull is attacking the one on the ice, these actually appear to be a couple as they stayed close together after he landed on the ice.

The gulls were having fun bathing in the cold waters of the lake.

Another couple of geese coming in for a landing on the ice.
Some of the trees around the lake are showing buds a little early this year.
